PHYSIOTHERAPY 

Physiotherapy uses a range of treatments methods to support your rehabilitation needs in order to overcome injury and/ or promote injury prevention. 

Our Physiotherapy services are provided by Chartered Physiotherapist Sharn Hooper. Sharn holds a 1st class honours degree in Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Sharn has experience working in the NHS within the acute hospital setting, and as a Senior MSK Physiotherapist. She currently works in the NHS as the Locality Lead for Physiotherapy; alongside her private work.

Sharn has extensive experience of working with patients presenting with a range of MSK injuries including post-op, trauma, occupational and chronic injuries both within the NHS and in private practice. Sharn has a special interest in sports injury and rehabilitation. She is also an Elite Mountain Bike Racer, and has previously won bronze, silver and gold medals representing Great Britain at Age Group level in Cross triathlon in European and World Championship events. Her clinical skills combined with her first hand knowledge of sports injuries, and the demands of sport on the body has enabled her to successfully treat both amateur and elite levels athletes from a range of sporting backgrounds.

  • Online assessment and treatment (30 minutes) £30

  • Home visit (45 minutes) £50 *Plus fuel costs if >5miles from Cannington

Treatments are tailored and adapted to your individual needs based on your initial and ongoing assessment and review, using a person-centred approach. 

Your treatment may include some of those outlined below. 

  • Exercise rehabilitation 

  • education about your condition and management advice

  • ‘Hands on’ manual therapy such as joint mobilisations and manipulations

  • Massage, soft tissue treatment & myofascial release

  • Kinesio-taping

  • Neural mobilisations

  • Self management advice and weight management

  • Screening and prevention of injury

  • Gait analysis & running technique coaching
